The user friendly and intuitive website does all the hard work for you. Just by visiting the page you will have already:
· Created your first ‘Wallet’
· Started mining WebDollar coins known as ‘WEBD’
So what is a wallet?
It really is no different to your own real wallet, it holds your WEBD coins as you accumulate them and keeps them safe. Your wallet also has a unique address which you can use to send and receive coins.
Before you continue on your journey with WebDollar you will want to secure your wallet to prevent anyone who can get to your computer from accessing it without your permission. This is achieved by encrypting your wallet with a password using the following steps:
· Click on the padlock symbol next to your wallet, a popup will appear
· Enter a password (12 individual words) or click ‘Random Password’
· Once you’re done, click ‘Set Password’
· A text file containing your password will be automatically downloaded
· Please keep this in a very safe place, as without it you will not be able to access your wallet and will lose all your coins
· Next, click the download button next to your wallet (the down arrow)
· Again, please keep this file in a very safe place but not with your password as without it you will not be able to access your wallet on another computer should something happen to yours

Cryptocurrencies rely on the power of your computer to solve complex mathematical sums in order to discover the next block in the chain. This chain, called the blockchain, is an encrypted ledger where all transactions are stored securely, whether coins are mined or transferred between wallets. The great thing about WebDollar is that you don’t need expensive graphics cards or even an expensive computer to mine WEBD.
What’s more, there is no set up involved unlike all other cryptocurrencies. When you visit the WebDollar.io page you’ll start mining instantly, shown in the toolbar at the bottom of your browser window:
Ok, so I’ve opened my browser and I’m mining coins into my wallet. I still don’t know what all of this means, what am I going to do with my coins?
WebDollar is still very new in the world of cryptocurrency even though the developers and the community, all of whom are volunteers, have delivered a lot in a short space of time. At the moment you cannot ‘spend’ your coins like you can with real money in shops or online – but that’s the best bit. It’s people like you who are early adopters of the coin who can benefit from this. By joining the community now and mining early on in the project, you can benefit by accumulating coins before they go onto the open market known as an Exchange. You’ll also earn more coins now, as they are easier to mine.
